I said at the end of last year that I had plans to try out a couple of weekly ideas. I thought I’d get started with one today, Top Five on Friday. For the life of me, I cannot remember where I got this idea from. So, if it was your site, thanks! I have a couple of other ideas, but I’m still going through what I like and what I don’t really care to do yet.
Anyway! How this will work is every Friday I’ll choose a category and choose my top five favorite songs in that category. You’re more than welcome to discuss my choices and your own in the comments. Since it’s my top five favorite songs, yes, these lists will be completely biased. Come to think of it, when is this not true for anything I write? I’ve come to the conclusion that I have this paranoia associated with my opinion, but, then again, some people tend to forget that a blog is just that, some random person’s opinion.
Because today is my birthday, we’re starting with my top five favorite dance/party songs. Does this include the current pop mix of dance and club songs? Yes, they were considered, but it’s very selective when it comes to those because none of those songs feel that original to me. The list includes songs that mention dancing or partying. Really, this was the only rule I had when creating this particular list.
